Hello and welcome to my blog. I thought you would like to see the card we made at Cuppa n Card yesterday. It was a great quick card and so much fun to make and perfect to send in the post! The card was inspired by talented UK demo Sarah Jane Ray.
The base card is Old Olive, size A5 scored and folded in half. Whisper White mat card is 9.5cm x 14.8cm. The images were stamped using momento black ink and then using a black pen I drew lines where I wanted the ground to be. Then it was a case of colouring the images with pens. I used Stampin’ Blend pens but you could use markers or ink/watercolour pencils with a paint brush and water. To remove the oil left by your fingers from the card wipe it with the embossing buddy (this will mean the glitter will only stick to the glue). Using fine line glue and glitter I created sparkling snow and the Pool Party blend pen gave it a bit of colour.
Above is a slightly stepped up version. An extra mat layer of Cherry Cobbler Card was added and then Whisper White card (which were torn to give rough edges and then layered up). Again glitter was added for sparkle. The images were stamped, coloured and then die cut with the coordinating thinlit dies and Big Shot machine. ( You can buy the stamps 147690 £20 and dies 147911 £30 separately but you save 10% when you buy the Signs of Santa bundle!) these were then adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals to give a 3d look.
On both cards the Merry Christmas sentiment from Star of Light was used and one was die cut from Merry Christmas Thinlit dies and sponged with ink and then layered up to give dimension.
