Hello and welcome the Kre8tors Blog Hop, I am so pleased to back creating for one of the first Blog Hops I joined. For January ‘s theme which is “Free for all” I decided to use it as a good excuse to showcase new products from the January- June 2022 mini catalogue. So put your feet up and enjoy the hop.

So for my card I have used the very cute Hello Ladybug, here in the UK we call them Ladybirds. It is a sign that summer is upon us and they always bring smile to my face as I remember, when I was a child that we had a plague of Ladybirds and my mum was frantically trying to bring in the washing before it got covered. The set is part of a Stamp Set (157693) and Ladybug Builder Punch (157698) Bundle (157699) but I found that fussy cutting the leaves, flowers and the other Ladybird was quite easy.

I have made a long thin Base Card in Granny Apple Green card ((#147014) measuring 22 x 19cm, scored @9.5cm, which fits into the new Slimline Envelopes (157981). The envelope pack consists of three different colours (Soft Succulent, White and Smoky Slate). The Ladybirds were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708) and Poppy Parade ink (#147050). I used the fantastic Stamparatus (stamping platform) to make sure the body and the spots were a solid black rather than a faded black. To achieve this, the image needs to be stamped several times and for repeat stamping the Stamparatus (#148187)is perfect. The smaller Ladybird was stamped in the black ink and coloured with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack Pens (#154958). Before colouring the stamped image on the envelope I placed copy paper inside so that the ink didn’t leak through to the back.

For the background papers and I used the stunning Expressions in Ink 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (155464) which have beautiful gold foiling on six of the twelve sheets. The flowers stamped in Polished Pink Ink (#155712) with the centre inked in Pale Papaya ink (#155670). Then the leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green ink (#147095) and Shaded Spruce ink (#147088). To finish the card I have placed Opal Rounds (#153556) to the centre of the flowers.

For the Basic White insert, leaves were stamped indifferent shades of Shaded Spruce ink.

I hope that I have inspired you with this lovely Ladybug set and to create an alternative base card which will fits perfect in the slimline envelopes. Now it is time to hop over to Jan for more inspiration but before you go please do leave a comment as I do like to receive feedback.
