Hello and welcome to March’s Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop. First of all I would ;like to touch on the uncertain situation we find ourselves at the moment. I hope you are all well and safe. Here in the UK we are on lockdown which I know many of us will find hard but with our love of crafting will see us through this difficult time . So this month’s theme is ‘ Let’s hear it for the boys’, You may have joined me from Gez;s blog or you may have joined direct to me. So sit back and enjoy the hop.

One of the new trends at the moment is called the Scrappy Stripe Technique and the talented Bruno Bertucci demonstrated how to use strips of Designer Series Paper (or card) to create a great background.

To create the background cut strips of paper at slight angles then glue onto a mat card with a slight gap in between. Then just trim off the excess paper. The paper started off as a 6×6 inch square.

I have used the Country Club Designer Paper from the Jan-June 2020 mini catalogue. This paper has a golf theme on one side and plaids on the reverse so even if you don’t like golf or don’t know of anyone who does, you can still use the papers. The strips of paper were glued onto a black mat layer (9.8 x 14.2 cm) and then the excess paper was then trimmed. This was then glued to a black base card.

I have stamped the sentiments in Garden Green and Poppy Parade Ink onto white card.

I have also used the new up and coming Ornate Thanks stamps and Ornate Layers Dies which will be available to customers on 1st April! This beautiful suite will also carry over in to the new Annual Catalogue.

The mini Paper Trimmer from the starter kit is fantastic for cutting paper strips. The awesome Sale a Bration offer (which includes the paper trimmer, 48 sheets of DSP and another stamp set of your choice) is only avail able until 31st March 2020. Contact me for more details on how to join my team.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card and I have inspired to try this great technique. I have listed the products I have used today further down. Now it’s time to hop to Laura and her fab project. Don’t forget to leave a comment before you leave.
