Hello, My name is Jacqui and I am a demo from the UK and I welcome you to my blog if this is your first visit. Today I am taking part in the Kre8tors monthly blog hop with a group of talented demonstrators from around the globe. This month is a colour challenge “Farms”. You may have joined me from Jan and her lovely project so sit back, relax with a cuppa and enjoy the rest of the hop.
I love the colours used in this challenge and the picture is stunning don’t you think? I have decided to use the Free as a Bird, Winter Woods and Making Christmas Bright stamp sets. Sorry if it’s too early for Christmas or the fact I’ve not used anything from my Autumn/Winter catalogue preorder (which I received last week). But this design is a stepped up version of a card I will be demoing at WI (Women’s Institute) on Wednesday.
I used a scrap of paper as a template for the snow by tearing it then brayered Highland Heather and Petal Pink ink on the Whisper White card mat. I then stamped the trees in Early Espresso ink using the fantastic Stamparatus for repeat stamping, although you can use a normal acrylic block if you wish. The greeting is from Making Christmas Bright set which is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
An oval was cut in Whisper White card with a die from Stitched Labels. The birds were stamped in Early Espresso and then water coloured with pencils as Robins. Dazzling Diamond Glitter and Wink of Stella added some sparkle.
I used Grey Granite card for the base card and then cut a mat and layer of Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso. Finally the oval was layered on the card over a twist of Silver Metallic Thread with dimensionals.
