Hello and welcome to my first Ink, Stamp and Share blog hop. This is where global demonstrators showcase different projects using Stampin’ Up! products. This month is “Christmas” which I’ve been looking forward to and the Christmas jumpers are ready to wear. You may have hopped over to me from Sandra and her lovely festive decoration or you may have started with myself. So put your feet up with a cuppa and enjoy the rest of the hop.

I have decided to share with you two projects I have made using the Brightly Gleaming Speciality Paper. Firstly I used the Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar Project Kit. (150703.) This is a very popular kit and perfect for hiding all sorts of treats in. It comes with a pre made boxes and background papers and various stickers to decorate your boxes in the traditional red and green colours.

You can also use stamped images to add to your boxes

However you can use the reverse of the boxes to decorate with papers and photos. This means you can use it for non Christmas events or even as a storage unit for your small craft supplies. I used one of the original background squares to trace round and used a 1 inch punch to make the indent at the top. I then cut strips of card into squares and then used the template to make sure I punched in the correct place. I used papers, card, copper foil along with various stamps, dies, embossing folders punches to decorate. I have had loads of lovely comments from everyone who has seen it.

For my next project I decided I needed to update a Christmas card planner which I made a few years ago. It was from a tutorial that I found on the internet unfortunately I can’t remember the ladies name.

A great way to use up backing card from the DSP packaging for the front and back covers.

I just made a front and back cover using the backing card from the DSP packaging, covering the outer sidess in DSP and the inner sides with card. I then decorated the front with stamps, dies and copper foil. Two holes were punched and copper trim is tied to rings which keep the book together.

Using excel I created a table so that I can keep track of names, addresses, cards that I’ve sent and have received. This will last me for 5 years before the sheets need to be replaced. You can make this any size you wish and would make a perfect gift.

I hope you have enjoyed the projects I have made. Some of the products I have used are from the Autumn/Christmas catalogue and are therefore unavailable. We have a fantastic range of products which I am sure will inspire you to create your own version. It is now time for you to hop over to Cindy for more Christmas inspiration.
