Hello and welcome to the last Kre8tors blog hop of the year. This month we are showcasing “Christmas*. You may have joined me from Pia Gerhardt. For this blog hop I thought I would move away from my usual card or scrapbook page and venture into the world of Home Decor! I had seen a Christmas plaque by another demo Julie Kettlewell and decided to put a Sign of Santa twist on it.
I inked the top of the plaque with Night of Navy. First I sponged from the ink pad and then for the stubborn bits I sponged with the reinker. I drew round the heart on whisper white and then die cut scenes from the Hometown Greeting Edgelits. I then ran the card through the Big Shot again with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder for the snow. Gold glimmer paper was cut and used as the light behind the houses.
Images from The Signs Of Santa set were stamped and coloured in using blend pens but of course you could use watercolour pencils, markers or ink and blends/aqua painter.. These were then cut out using the Santa’s Signpost Framelit Dies. The good news is if you buy the bundle of both the stamp set and dies you save 10%, the sad news is that this lovely set is retiring on 2nd January so you need to be quick before it sells out. I glittered the images using Dazziling Diamonds for a bit of sparkle. I also fussy cut the snowman from the Santa’s Workshop DSP and punched some silver Glimmer Paper with the 1/8th hole punch (134365 £8.25) for the snowballs. Snowflakes from another retiring set Still the Night Stamp set were stamped onto the Night of Navy plaque using the Frosted Shimmer paint. Then adhere everything together using glue and Dimensionals. Lastly ribbon was tied to string of the plaque.
I hope you like my Christmas plaque, below I have listed the products I have used.
