Kre8tors Blog Hop – May 2020 “Florals”

Hello and welcome to my blog and to May’s Kre8tors blog hop and theme is Florals. You may hopped over to me from Tracie and her lovely project or you may have come direct to me. Today I have chosen to show case the beautiful Peaceful Moments Dies set. I think the Poppies are very fitting for the special VE 75th Anniversary weekend. So grab a cuppa and enjoy the hop.

This beautiful die set is perfect for all occasions.

As soon as I saw the poppies I knew that they would look good with the Kraft card in the Magnolia Lane Large Speciality Memories & More Cards. Whilst the silver edging on the cards along with the silver thread add a touch of elegance.

Kre8tors Blog Hop – Spring – April 2020

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog and this month’s Kre8tors Blog Hop. You may have joined me from Sue and her lovely project. Can you believe it that Spring has arrived and this is our hop theme. So grab a cuppa and put your feet up and enjoy the hop!

Today I have decided to showcase the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Papers from the Jan-June catalogue.

All the sides of the boxes and tray were covered in DSP

Last month I was challenged by my upline Sandra Roberts to decorate an Ikea Desk Tidy with Poppies as this was a theme for our joint mini retreat. I found that the paper’s had all the colours to create a sky and grass scene whist showcasing the flower papers and stunning Peaceful Poppies Dies. Wink of Stella and Peaceful Poppies Sequins add some sparkle.

Ink.Stamp.Share Special Blog Hop-April 2020

Hello and welcome if you are new to my blog.  Today I am hopping with demonstrators from around the world in this “Special”  Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop.  With so many of us in self isolation due to COVID 19 morale is at an all time low.  So hopefully by joining our hop we will inspire you to craft . So you may have hopped to me from Sandra’s blog and her great projects or perhaps you started with me either way put your feet up and enjoy the hop!

Due to it being Easter weekend I have chosen to make a card using Fable Friends.  As a huge Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit fan I love this set! The card style was inspired by my upline Sandra Roberts.

I have used two colourways from the Best Dressed Designer Paper Series Paper –

The base card was folded in half to make a tent card then two 4cm panels were cut from the front to make mat layers (for the bottom and vertical layer). An acetate sheet was adhered to the inside top panel of the card using glue dots to and then one of the panels at the bottom to complete the base card.  Layer up the panels with whisper white and DSP.

The card toppers were die cut using the stitched to sweetly dies.

The rabbit was coloured in with blends but you can use pencils, ink or stampin; markers. A whisper white card layer was stamped with the sentiment making sure it was visible through the front of the base card.

I hope that you have enjoyed my cards and I have inspired you to try this great technique. I have listed products below for your information. You will also find my You tube video on how to make this card. Now it’s time for you to hop over to Libby’s blog and her fab project. Don’t forget to leave a comment below.

Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop – March 2020 – Let’s Hear It For The Boys

No photo description available.

Hello and welcome to March’s Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop. First of all I would ;like to touch on the uncertain situation we find ourselves at the moment. I hope you are all well and safe. Here in the UK we are on lockdown which I know many of us will find hard but with our love of crafting will see us through this difficult time . So this month’s theme is ‘ Let’s hear it for the boys’, You may have joined me from Gez;s blog or you may have joined direct to me. So sit back and enjoy the hop.

One of the new trends at the moment is called the Scrappy Stripe Technique and the talented Bruno Bertucci demonstrated how to use strips of Designer Series Paper (or card) to create a great background.

To create the background cut strips of paper at slight angles then glue onto a mat card with a slight gap in between. Then just trim off the excess paper. The paper started off as a 6×6 inch square.

I have used the Country Club Designer Paper from the Jan-June 2020 mini catalogue. This paper has a golf theme on one side and plaids on the reverse so even if you don’t like golf or don’t know of anyone who does, you can still use the papers. The strips of paper were glued onto a black mat layer (9.8 x 14.2 cm) and then the excess paper was then trimmed. This was then glued to a black base card.

I have stamped the sentiments in Garden Green and Poppy Parade Ink onto white card.

I have also used the new up and coming Ornate Thanks stamps and Ornate Layers Dies which will be available to customers on 1st April! This beautiful suite will also carry over in to the new Annual Catalogue.

The mini Paper Trimmer from the starter kit is fantastic for cutting paper strips. The awesome Sale a Bration offer (which includes the paper trimmer, 48 sheets of DSP and another stamp set of your choice) is only avail able until 31st March 2020. Contact me for more details on how to join my team.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card and I have inspired to try this great technique. I have listed the products I have used today further down. Now it’s time to hop to Laura and her fab project. Don’t forget to leave a comment before you leave.

Kre8tors Blog Hop March 2020 Colour Challenge – Green Monochromatic

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am taking part in the Kre8tors blog hop with a group of international demos and the theme for March is a Green Colour Challenge. You may have joined me from Jan’s blog or you may have joined directly with me. So sit back with a cuppa and enjoy the hop!

This challenge is so out of my comfort zone. I like to wear green and blue coloured clothes but I only tend to craft green when it is leaves or grass. We were also allowed to use black and white. So I have chosen to use Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizazz. I thought if I used the same colour family (Subtles) I couldn’t go wrong. I have also used my neglected Beautiful You Stamp set,

I have used a stampin’ write marker to make a band on her hat.

I wanted to frame the image and what better way than to use the Vintage Heirlooms Oval die and and coordinating 3d embossing folder. I have sponged part of the oval with Soft Sea Foam Ink and a sponge dauber. The sentiment was stamped in Momento Black Ink which was die cut with a label die from Merry Christmas Dies. Pearls were added for a bit of dimension although I have notice one of the pearls has made a run for it from the label (there was two on there I promise!).

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog and I have inspired you to reach out for stamps that perhaps you have forgotten about. I have also listed the products I have used below for your information .Now it’s time for you to hop over to Sandra Roberts for more inspiration but before you go don’t forget to leave me a comment.

Kre8tors Blog Hop – Feb 2020- Love/Romance

Hello and welcome to my blog, my name is Jacqui and I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Suffolk, UK. Today I am joining Demonstrators around the world for a blog hop and the theme for February is Love/Romance. You may have joined me from Sandra her and lovely projects or you may have joined directly to me. So put your feet up with a cuppa and enjoy hopping around.

I don’t tend to buy stamp sets for Valentines etc, so this theme is always a bit of a challenge for me. I decided to use the lovely Sale-A-Bration Hostess set Little Ladybug. Using the traditional red (Poppy Parade), white and black for my card, With simple stamping in Momento Black ink and then a touch of Poppy Parade blend pen for colour. Then the flower head and cute Ladybug were cut out using the coordinating Ladybug dies (which is one of the fantastic coordination products released this month) and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wanted some texture on the card so I die cut a frame and embossed it using the Heirloom Frame dies & 3d embossing folders. I then die cut the word love from Well Written dies set and the hearts from the Detailed Bee Dies which is in the new 2020 mini catalogue The dies co ordinate with the lovely Honey Bee stamp set (which you can buy as a bundle saving 10%, 153792). A gold sequin Peaceful Poppies Sequins 151325)(was added for a touch of bling on the flower.

Just as an added bonus I thought I would showcase the lovely decorative wooden heart plaque I created. This is showcasing my love for my family and Ive added loads of wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle. I’ve layered the bugs and flowers for dimension.

I hope that you have liked my card for today and that I have shown that you can create Valentines Cards using your other stamp sets and dies. I have listed the products of have used below for your information. Please leave a comment before you hop over to Anatasia’s blog for more inspiriation.

Kre8tors Blog Hop- Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration -Jan 2020

Happy New Year!

Hello and welcome to my first blog hop of the year. January is the start of the new 2020 Mini Catalogue and Stampin’ Up!’s biggest promotion, Sale-a-bration.  From January to 31st March you can earn FREEBIES by either Shopping, Hosting a Party or Joining the Stampin’ Up! family. Such a great offer I’m sure you will agree!

So today a group of global demonstrators are showcasing ideas using products from either of the new catalogues.  You may have hopped over from Alexandra and her lovely project.  There are so many wonderful things to choose from but I decided to create with the Power of Hope stamp set.  This set is part of a bundle and comes with a Stone 3d embossing folder and is Free with a qualifying £90 order.  As someone who loves everything Oriental knew that It had to be the first set to choose.

Keeping with the New Year theme I have used the lovely red, black and gold colour combination of the Chinese New Year. Whilst shopping I found a packet of party poppers in boxes similar to our Mini Curvy Keepsake Box so I was eager to have a go myself.  I have seen some cards made with a Chinese lantern but I haven’t seen any using the keepsake box which I cut apart and then layered with a stamped image on a circle die cut..

I have embossed the circle with the corrugated 3d folder, the red mat layer with the subtle 3d folder and the white layer with Stone 3d folder.

I have I heat embossed the images and sentiment on the card and box with versamark ink and gold embossing powder.  The temple was coloured in using a Poppy Parade blend pen (146878). I needed to make a hole in the slit of the box so that the top of party popper would fit without tearing the card, for this I used a crop-o-dile but you could use a punch.

I hope you liked my projects and that I have inspired you with this lovely set. Now it is time for you to hop over to Rochelle’s blog for more inspiration.  I have listed the products I have used today further down.  Don’t forget to leave a comment before you go.

Ink. Stamp.Share Blog Hop- Dec 19 Christmas-

Hello and welcome to my first Ink, Stamp and Share blog hop. This is where global demonstrators showcase different projects using Stampin’ Up! products. This month is “Christmas” which I’ve been looking forward to and the Christmas jumpers are ready to wear. You may have hopped over to me from Sandra and her lovely festive decoration or you may have started with myself. So put your feet up with a cuppa and enjoy the rest of the hop.

I have decided to share with you two projects I have made using the Brightly Gleaming Speciality Paper. Firstly I used the Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar Project Kit. (150703.) This is a very popular kit and perfect for hiding all sorts of treats in. It comes with a pre made boxes and background papers and various stickers to decorate your boxes in the traditional red and green colours.

You can also use stamped images to add to your boxes

However you can use the reverse of the boxes to decorate with papers and photos. This means you can use it for non Christmas events or even as a storage unit for your small craft supplies. I used one of the original background squares to trace round and used a 1 inch punch to make the indent at the top. I then cut strips of card into squares and then used the template to make sure I punched in the correct place. I used papers, card, copper foil along with various stamps, dies, embossing folders punches to decorate. I have had loads of lovely comments from everyone who has seen it.

For my next project I decided I needed to update a Christmas card planner which I made a few years ago. It was from a tutorial that I found on the internet unfortunately I can’t remember the ladies name.

A great way to use up backing card from the DSP packaging for the front and back covers.

I just made a front and back cover using the backing card from the DSP packaging, covering the outer sidess in DSP and the inner sides with card. I then decorated the front with stamps, dies and copper foil. Two holes were punched and copper trim is tied to rings which keep the book together.

Using excel I created a table so that I can keep track of names, addresses, cards that I’ve sent and have received. This will last me for 5 years before the sheets need to be replaced. You can make this any size you wish and would make a perfect gift.

I hope you have enjoyed the projects I have made. Some of the products I have used are from the Autumn/Christmas catalogue and are therefore unavailable. We have a fantastic range of products which I am sure will inspire you to create your own version. It is now time for you to hop over to Cindy for more Christmas inspiration.

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop – Christmas- Nov 19

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop. If you haven’t visited me before let me introduce myself to you, my name is Jacqui and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator living in a rural village in the UK. You may have hopped over to me from Colleen and her lovely layout or maybe have started directly here, So gab yourself a cuppa and put your feet up and enjoy the rest of the hop.

This month the theme is the C word, Yes it;s CHRISTMAS, one of my favourite times of the year. So I have used the gorgeous Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper and Snowman season stamp set and punch bundle.

I love the glittered snowman paper which has an image which coordinates with the snowman punch and the others are easy to fussy cut.. I also used the duo ornament punches for decoration and then finally die cut the title from Merry Christmas Dies.

I hope you have liked my layout and that I have inspired you to look at these lovely papers and bundle. Now it is time for you to hop over to Cindy for more festive inspiration. I have listed the products I have used further down the blog. Please remember to leave a comment before you leave.

Ink & Share Blog Hop Oct 19 – FALL

Hello my name is Jacqui and I am a Uk demonstrator. Today I am taking part in a global scrapbook blog hop. You may have joined me from Karen and her lovely page or you may have started off with myself. The theme this month is Fall/Autumn. So put your feet up and enjoy the rest of the hop.

I chose a picture of my daughter waiting to wave me off on my travels from Thetford Bus Station to a Stampin’ Up! convention in Mainz, Germany, 2012. It’s strange that I will be heading to to Dortmund, Germany for Stampin’ Up! Onstage in a month’s time!

The paper for the leaves were kindly donated by my fabulous upline Sandra Roberts, who recently showcased the re-inker technique using foil. She dropped drops of ink onto a sheet of foil and then sprayed the colours with water, then laid the watercolour card onto of the ink until completely cover. Once the card is dried you get this lovely range of colour. I was then able to cut the leaves out using Seasonal Layer dies. The Title was using the Hand-Lettered Prose alphabet dies.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog today, I have listed the products I have used further down for your information Please leave a comment below before you hop over to Shirley for more inspiration.
